The Casal dels Catalans de California celebrated its fall picnic (aplec de tardor) at Rancho Dominguez. As it has become a tradition, the Balsells fellows at UC Irvine were on hand for the hard labor of making three pans of paella. A total of twelve new Balsells graduate fellows plus two Balsells mobility fellows arrived in Irvine this fall.
