September 2004: Three former Balsells Fellows have accepted faculty positions in the U.S. and in Catalonia.

Alba Perez Gracia, a Balsells fellow in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering in 1997 and 1998 and PhD also in MAE in 2003, has joined the Mechanical Engineering Department at Idaho State University. Francisco Lopez Dekker, a Balsells fellow in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1997 and PhD from the University of Massachussets, Amherst in 2003, joins telecommunication engineering at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Laia Pages, a Balsells fellow in Civil and Environmental Engineering in 2001 and PhD in progress in CEE at UC Irvine, has joined the school of Industrial Engineering at the Polytechnical University of Barcelona, Terrassa, as an adjunct professor.
